We are thrilled to invite you to the International Conference on Sustainable Aviation Research (ICSAR 2025), taking place from July 9th to 11th, 2025, in the vibrant city of Dublin.

As the aviation industry rapidly pivots towards achieving net-zero carbon emissions, we are witnessing an unprecedented pace in the development and commercialisation of novel sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technologies. This accelerated transition brings forth unique challenges that span industry, academia, and government entities at all levels. These challenges encompass technological advancements, policy formulation, supply chain logistics, and beyond.

While existing conferences on sustainable aviation fuels often cater to corporate interests and senior-level attendees, there is a notable absence of dedicated forums that provide a holistic view and opportunities for contributed and refereed sessions aimed at current students—the future workforce driving these innovations. Traditional academic conferences tend to focus narrowly on specific technical disciplines, such as analytical chemistry methods or testing protocols, rarely integrating perspectives across the full SAF lifecycle from feedstocks to conversion, analysis, qualification, deployment, and impact assessment.

ICSAR 2025 aims to bridge these gaps by fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue on sustainable aviation fuels research, development, policy, and implementation. This forum will not only promote vital collaboration across sectors but also ensure that today’s students receive the comprehensive, systems-level education and exposure necessary to continue driving innovation in this critically important field.
